The City of Seaside’s Homeless Commission is seeking proposals from non-profit agencies/organizations operating food insecurity programs in Seaside to submit requests and implementation proposals. The acquired funds will support efforts to feed homeless individuals and families in Seaside. 

Nonprofit agencies/organizations who have experience operating food insecurity programs in Seaside with a similar budget and scope are encouraged to apply. The selected agencies/organizations proposals considered will be explored and discussed in a Homeless Commission meeting for final decision and approval to receive donation funds.

Applications must be received at Oldemeyer Center (986 Hilby Avenue), by January 13, 2023 by 5:00pm.

La Comisión Para Personas Sin Hogar de la Ciudad de Seaside está buscando propuestas de agencias/organizaciones sin fines de lucro que operen programas de inseguridad alimentaria en Seaside para presentar solicitudes y propuestas de implementación. Los fondos adquiridos apoyarán los esfuerzos para poder alimentar a las personas y familias sin hogar en Seaside.

Se alienta a las agencias/organizaciones sin fines de lucro que tengan experiencia en la operación de programas de inseguridad alimentaria en Seaside con un presupuesto y alcance similares a postularse. Las propuestas de las agencias/organizaciones seleccionadas consideradas serán exploradas y discutidas en una reunión de la Comisión Para Personas Sin Hogar para tomar la decisión final y recibir la aprobación para recibir fondos de donación.

Las solicitudes deben recibirse en Centro Oldemeyer (986 Hilby Avenue), antes del 13 de enero de 2023 a las 5:00pm.

The selection of local Seaside non-profit agencies/organizations, will be based upon:

- Description of services (who is being served, when/how often are services available, how do those in need get informed about services, location and access to services).

- Value and benefit of program to homeless population and City of Seaside.

- Proof of non-profit status Food Insecurity Program qualifications. (The agency/organization seeking donation funds must serve homeless individuals and families within the Seaside Community. Agencies/organizations must also hold a 501c3 nonprofit status. Documentation of status is required when submitting requests).

- Accountability (The agency/organization granted donation funds to engage food insecurity program activities must document services and plan to report back to the Homeless Commission within 90 days of receiving funding).

- Preference will be given to non-profit agencies/organizations who are based within the City of Seaside.
