Public Notice: San Pablo Pedestrian Bridge Assessment

1700 Block of San Pablo Avenue
Whitson Engineers and Consor Engineers will be performing a structural assessment of the San Pablo Pedestrian Bridge, for the City of Seaside. The assessment is scheduled to occur on December 21, 2022. The bridge spans the 1700 block of San Pablo Avenue, connecting Lincoln-Cunningham Park and Manzanita-Stuart Park.

The assessment includes the evaluation of the pedestrian bridge abutments, decking, railing, and structural members. The site work is anticipated to take one day to complete.

During the assessment, traffic and pedestrian control will be in place for public safety. Parking will be restricted on the 1700 block of San Pablo Avenue, and lane closures may be required; motorists should expect delays. The pedestrian bridge is currently closed out of precaution. The pedestrian bridge will remain closed to pedestrians until the assessment report is completed. The report is expected to be completed in January 2023.

Evaluacion de Puente Peatonal

Cuadra 1700 de la Avenida San Pablo 

Whitson Engineers y Consor Engineers realizaran una evaluacion estructural del Puente Peatonal San Pablo, para la Ciudad de Seaside. La evaluacion esta programada para 21 de Diciembre del 2022. El Puente se extiende sobre la cuadra 1700 de San Pablo Avenida, conectando Lincoln-Cunningham Park y Manzanita-Stuart Park.

La evaluacion incluye los pilares del Puente peatonal, el entablado, el barandal y los elementos estructurales. Se anticipa que el trabajo en el sitio tomara un dia para completarse. 

Durante la evaluacion, habra control de trafico y control de peatones para la seguridad publica. El estacionamiento estara restringido en la cuadra 1700 de San Pablo Avenida y es possible que se requiera cerrar carriles; los automovilistas deben esperar restrasos. El Puente peatonal esta actualmente cerrado por precaucion. El Puente peatonal permancera cerrado al peaton hasta que se complete el informe de evaluacion. Se espera que el informe este terminado en Enero de 2023.
